Know Before You Apply

Insurance Requirements

You must maintain coverage throughout your lease. Here's what you need.

🛡️ Required Coverage
  • Personal auto liability insurance (minimum GA state minimum or higher)
  • TNC / rideshare endorsement on your policy — covers you while working
  • Comprehensive & collision coverage (recommended)
  • FlexFleet must be named as additional insured and loss payee
  • Gap coverage recommended (covers difference between value and payoff)
⚠️ If Insurance Lapses

You must notify FlexFleet immediately if your insurance is cancelled or lapses. Driving without active coverage is a lease violation — the vehicle will be immediately taken out of service. Repeated lapses or failure to maintain coverage triggers lease default and vehicle repossession with no refund of prior payments.

Valid Georgia driver's license Must have a current, valid GA driver's license. Out-of-state licenses accepted temporarily with transfer within 30 days.

MVR check + background check Handled by FlexFleet. We check your driving record — not your credit score.

Active personal auto insurance You must already carry or obtain personal auto insurance before vehicle pickup.

TNC / rideshare endorsement Required for your insurance policy to cover you while working for Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, etc.

Active gig platform account (preferred) Having an active account on at least one major platform (Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, Amazon Flex) is preferred but not strictly required.

Common Questions

Most applicants receive a decision within 24 hours. The MVR and background check are fast — we just verify your driving record. If everything checks out, you'll receive an approval email with next steps. Vehicle pickup can often happen the same day you sign.
You can still apply — just select "No — will obtain" on the insurance question. We can help you find insurance providers that offer TNC/rideshare endorsement. You'll need to have active insurance in place before vehicle pickup, but you don't need it to apply.
If your needs change, contact us and we can discuss options. Switching vehicles requires a new lease agreement and may involve a re-evaluation of your account standing. Equity from your current vehicle may be credited toward a new arrangement — case by case.
There's a 48-hour grace period per payment. After that: $25 late fee. Two consecutive missed payments trigger lease default — the vehicle is repossessed and ALL prior payments are forfeited with no equity returned. Pay on time to protect your investment.
Yes. Once you've paid off the vehicle's equity balance in full, you can request ownership transfer. FlexFleet reviews and approves in writing, then adds you as registered owner on the title. The car is yours — no further payments required.
We support all major platforms: Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, Amazon Flex, Instacart, Uber Eats, Grubhub, Shipt, Roadie, and more. As long as your insurance TNC endorsement covers the platforms you use, you're good to go.
